Schools

Over the last few year laptops have become much more affordable which has resulted in computing becoming more mobile. A laptop can allow a school to take the computing out of the computer room and into the classroom. A wireless keyboard and mouse in conjunction with a data projector can allow teachers to  access a huge amount of internet resources while teaching.

We provide a number of IT Services designed specifically to meet the needs of Schools.

Summer Hardware Refresh

Why not use the summer break to refresh your school’s computers or laptops.

  • Backup and Archive the data from the school year
  • Reload Operating Systems and apply Service Packs.
  • Memory or Hardware Upgrades
  • Install and configure up to date Anti Virus Software
  • Work can be carried out on-site or at our workshop and can include re-installation and reconfiguration on school network
  • Drop in or Collect and Return service available.
  • Bring out your dead. Why not look at your old equipment for Spare Parts. Perhaps one good machine can be made out of two broken ones.

Call us for a free assessment. We can tailor a solution to fit YOUR school’s requirements.

Non Contracted Call out Service

An ad-hoc call out service is available at an hourly rate. If desired a maximum charge per call out can be agreed after initial assessment. We can also accept drop in repairs to our shop on account.

Annual Proactive Maintenance Contracts

We can provide support contracts for schools on a proactive basis. Our view is that preventative    maintenance is a better way to support schools ICT rather than the traditional break-fix model. If ICT equipment is maintained on a regular basis with all Operating system and Anti Virus updates applied the machines will perform better over the course of a year.

As new equipment is purchased, an appropriate stock of spare parts can be built up over time and our engineers can work with the schools internal IT resources to transfer as much knowledge as is practical. This can assist a school in increasing it’s own technical expertise and the level of support they can achieve in-house.
